Flag Posts contain both, wire & rope rigging. Over the years, we have installed, refurbished and maintained many different types from traditional wooden post to modern fibre glass.
Whether traditional yachts as the one shown here, or modern cruisers and racers. We have experience in working with all types, from the classic spliced and tarred Hemp rope to ultra-modern carbon fibre rigging.
Many of our existing customers are within the Marine Industry. From the Sea Cadets to Cargo Ships, we are supplying service and equipment for all rigging applications.
An interesting use of the Canter Lever system, where 500 metres of wire rope is applied in a 18:1 purchase system, driven by a winch to lift the 5000 kg wind turbine. Whether the manipulation of ropes such as splicing and serving, the making of larger nets, like the Scrambling net shown here, the manufacture of rigging components is still a very hands-on and labour intensive undertaking.
